Move-Out Cleaning in Reston, VA: Get Your Deposit Back

Moving out of a high-rise or luxury apartment complex in Reston, VA comes with strict property management standards. For this apartment, meeting the property’s move-out checklist was essential to avoiding deposit deductions.

Recently, the team at Exclusive House Cleaning was called to provide move-out cleaning for a multi-bedroom apartment near Reston Town Center. The crew cleaned the apartment before the tenants’ final walk-through, focusing on the kitchen, bathrooms, floors, and fixtures.

The Challenge: A Tight Timeline and High Inspection Standards

For this apartment, the property manager checked the kitchen, bathroom, floors, windows, and fixtures against the move-out checklist. The departing tenants faced two main challenges:

• The apartment had built-up cooking grease in the kitchen, hard-water stains in the primary bathroom, and scuffed baseboards in high-traffic hallways.
• Property management required:
  • Deep appliance cleaning.
  • Spotless window tracks.
  • Dust-free fixtures throughout the home.

These conditions had to be met before the security deposit could be returned.

The Result: The Apartment Passed Inspection and the Tenants Got Their Full Deposit Back

Thanks to the detailed work of Exclusive House Cleaning, the apartment passed its final management walk-through with zero deductions. The tenants received their full security deposit back without having to spend their moving week scrubbing floors or scraping ovens.
